Campaign Overview, faqs, and Eligibility Requirements

Join us in the Love Local Revy Campaign and reap the benefits with minimal effort on your part. By participating, you'll join a town-wide movement to bolster community support while effortlessly increasing your business visibility. You'll attract more customers and boost sales without breaking a sweat!

On this page you will find information and a run down of the entire Campaign as it pertains to businesses, from the registration process to the ballot collection.

By participating, you'll join a town-wide movement to bolster community support while effortlessly increasing your business visibility. You'll attract more customers and boost sales without breaking a sweat.  

  • Love Local Revy welcomes businesses with a physical storefront to participate in our community-driven campaign. We are excited to collaborate with a diverse range of establishments, showcasing the vibrancy of our local economy and celebrating the unique offerings of Revelstoke. To ensure alignment with our campaign goals, we have outlined the following eligibility criteria:

    1. Retail: Stores offering goods and products ranging from apparel and accessories to home decor and specialty items are eligible to participate in Love Local Revy. Whether you run a boutique, gift shop, or specialty store, we invite you to join us in promoting local shopping experiences.

    2. Food & Beverage: Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and other food and beverage establishments are encouraged to participate in Love Local Revy. Share your culinary creations and local flavors with the community as we celebrate the rich gastronomic scene of Revelstoke.

    3. Wellness Providers: Businesses offering wellness services such as spas, salons, yoga studios, fitness centers, holistic health practices, and massage therapy studios are eligible to join. Take advantage of the opportunity to promote your services and contribute to the overall well-being of our community. However, please note that services claimed entirely through insurance coverage are not eligible for inclusion in the campaign.

    4. Arts Sector: Galleries & Museums with giftshops are welcome to participate. Embrace creativity and cultural enrichment as we highlight the artistic endeavors that contribute to the fabric of our community.

    5. Sports and Recreation: Businesses offering sports equipment, outdoor gear, guided tours, recreational activities, and adventure experiences are integral to the Revelstoke lifestyle. Whether you operate a sports shop, tour company, or outdoor adventure center, we invite you to showcase the recreational opportunities available in our area.

  • It's simple!

    Eligible Businesses with a physical storefront register with us to receive their Participation Package, which includes a ballot box, ballots, and promotional materials to advertise their involvement.

    Then, upon making a purchase your customers can enter a ballot to be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of six prize packs, valued at $500 each!

    At the end of each campaign we will collect the ballots and announce the winners shortly afterwards. Businesses will hold onto their Participation Packages, including the Ballot Box, to facilitate the simple ‘activation’ of future campaigns.

  • We're planning for a maximum of three phases to the campaign throughout the year. Two of which will be during each of our Shoulder Seasons, the Spring and Fall. These phases of the campaign have the potential to coincide with the Chambers’ Ambassador Program events, as well as Welcome Week, increasing our reach and shopper participation.

    The third phase will be dependent on the needs of the community. By setting up the campaign to be activated at any time, we can quickly provide additional support for local businesses during these times of need.  Think of those really smoky days in the summer, or perhaps we’ll want to give consumers a little extra incentive to buy Holiday gifts locally, rather than online.

  • We’ll handle the heavy lifting with the promotion. We’ll be spreading the word on the ground through our Visitor Centre, print ads, and radio spots, whilst also promoting online through Social Media ads and by increasing our visibility in Google Search results. As part of your participation package, you will receive a window sticker and signage to showcase your involvement in the campaign. All you have to do then is guide customers towards the ballot box!


Campaign Overview

Step 1: Register

Ensure you meet the requirements and then submit your registration for Love Local Revy!

Step 2: Prepare for the Campaign

Before the campaign launches, we will deliver your Participation Package!

The Package includes:

  • Ballot Boxes

  • Ballots

  • Promotional Materials (decals & posters)

  • Campaign Overview

  • Instructions/FAQs for Staff

  • Instructions for Customers

The Campaign Overview will be a copy of this step by step guide to the campaign, so you have one at hand. You’ll be pleased to hear though that it’s all very straightforward, as we’ve done most of the groundwork and promotion already.

During this first stage, prior to the launch, all you need to do is share the information with your staff, then display the decals, stickers and posters to begin advertising your own involvement in the campaign.

STEP 3: The Campaign Period

During the campaign period, simply place the Ballots, Ballot Box and ‘Instructions for Customers’ flyer at your point of sale, allowing for easy access when customers complete transactions.

The Instructions/FAQs for Staff and Instructions for Customers documents we’ll provide will assist in the already simple process for customers to enter the draw.

Should you have any issues, your box is getting full, or you need more ballots, you may contact us during our office hours.

Step 4: After the Campaign

Once the Campaign period comes to a close, you may remove the Ballot Boxes and Ballots from your point of sale. We will come and collect the Ballots, but you’ll hold onto the Box and promotional materials in preparation for the next Campaign…

STEP 5: THE FUTURE of Love Local Revy

By holding onto the materials, we’ll all be better prepared to launch our next Love Local Revy Campaign at a moments notice! Prior to launching the next Campaign, we will contact all previously participating business to announce the dates, and confirm their involvement. Then, we’ll repeat steps 2 - 4!
