Commercial Composting Program
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) has started a commercial composting program in Revelstoke, which is being supported by the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative (LFI).
The goals of this program are to reduce the volume of food waste that ends up in our landfill, thereby reducing methane emissions and contributing to the sustainability and resiliency of our Town.
The below map shows all of the businesses that are participating in the compost program. If sustainability is something you value, consider supporting these businesses, and let them know you appreciate the efforts they are making.
Let's all work together to foster a collective sense of sustainability in our community, and change the culture in Revelstoke around waste diversion.
